Advice and Emergencies?
Telephone Advice
Some matters may be dealt with by telephone. The receptionists have been asked not to interrupt your doctor if he/she is with a patient, unless your call is urgent. You may therefore be asked to phone again or to leave a telephone number for your doctor or nurse to contact you.
NHS 111
NHS 111 is a phone service staffed by nurses and professional advisers, giving confidential healthcare advice and information 24 hours a day. Calls are charged at local rates.
Emergencies
Between 0800 and 1830 please telephone 01548 842284: a receptionist will put you in touch with a doctor. To save time you may be advised to call an ambulance.
Out Of Hours
During weekends, bank holidays and 1830 - 0800 weekdays, please telephone NHS111 for advice. You will be directed to the most appropriate healthcare provider. Please try to restrict out-of-hours calls to emergencies only. You may be asked to attend a treatment centre.
